Tourist Guide Ardabil
The city of Arbadil is a historical place found in the north western part of Iran. The name of this city is derived from 'Arvatil', meaning a holy place. It is located at the coordinates of 38.15 N and 48.17 E. it is a highly populated city with population measuring 340,386 as measured in a recent census. The majority of the population here is of typical Azerbaijanis. As the other cities of Iran, this city also specialises in the production of silk and fine carpets. The climate here is semi-arid and many tourists visit this place during the summers when the climate is cool. The winters are very bitter with temperatures dropping even to -12 degrees. There are many beautiful lakes, shrines and tombs situated here. It is one of the top ranked educational centres with some of the best Islamic Universities located here. This city also has some great football players and it has special roots in Sufi music and arts.
