Tourist Guide Kashan
The name ‘Kashan’ has been derived from ‘Kasian’, i.e. Kashan’s original inhabitants; remains of whose have been found at ‘Tapeh Sialk’; which can be traced back to around 9000 years. This made the city of Kashan achieve its present name.
An interesting fact is that ‘Kashi’, one of the Persian words, mean this city name.
Kashan enjoys the pride of being the 1st amongst the huge oases along Qom-Kerman road that happens to run along edge of Iran’s central deserts. The charm on its part mainly owes to contrast between greenery of well-tended oasis and parched immensities with regards to deserts.
Even though there seem to be several sites within Kashan of ‘potential interest’ to tourists, the place hasn’t developed much; thanks to less than thousand tourists in a year. Abyaneh and Qamsar can be mentioned as notable towns surrounding Kashan; which go on to have attracted tourists for whole of the year.
