Masjid-e-Jom’e
The most imposing edifice in Kerman city is Masjid-e-Jom’e or Friday Mosque. It is situated in the main square of “Shohada.” It was constructed by the Safavid Dynasty in the 14th century. The architecture of this structure is a classical Iranian type with four iwans or verandahs. The blue earthenware at this place is very impressive having shades of blue ranging from turquoise to ultramarine. The central dome and the wall of the Mihrab (altar) look ornate due to impressive geometric figures. The public has access to the altar.
Zarabkhaneh Museum (Mint House)
Towards the north of the Ganj Ali Khan square is the Zarabkhaneh Museum. This is shaped like an octagon internally and there is a chamber along with four cubicles in the four corners. The porches and ceilings are decorated with impressive plaster works. In the past, this structure was used as a government treasury and a mint. Currently, antiquated coins are exhibited at this place.
Anthropological Museum
In the year 1971, the Ganj Ali Khan Bath was converted to the Anthropological Museum. This is located towards the south of the Ganj Ali Khan Aggregate. Here, different practices associated with the bath like shaving of the head, cupping and other issues related to an ancient and traditional bath are displayed by means of statues.
