The Holy Shrine of Imam Reza
The Holy Shrine of Imam Reza has considerable spiritual value and is one of the most imposing and consummate architectural edifices in the Islamic World. Here, one can view several architectural methods like plaster casting, calligraphy, mosaic tiles, fretwork, inlaying, mirror works and tiling. This shrine is not only a venue for worship and refuge but also a University for investigation, learning and observation of imaginative and graphic art.
The Mosque of 72 People
The Mosque of 72 People was constructed in 1435 A.D. at the entrance of the Great Market and was called as “Shah Mosque” in the past. As per archaeological investigations, this mosque was the tomb of the ruler of Toos, Amir Malekshah, in the past. Here, one can see a tall time dome with paintings and cornices, two mosaic tiles minarets at the corners of the structure, a main terrace and four small terraces.
Nadershah Afshar Tomb
The Nadershah Afshar Tomb is close to the Holy Shrine Complex. Here, one can view the tomb of Nader, a park and Nader’s statue. There is also an attractive museum which houses military equipment, swords and antique guns from Nader Shah’s era (1700s).
