Heidarieh Mosque

This mosque had undergone renovation following earthquake of ‘1119 CE’ by Amir Khomar-tash, i.e. vizier of malikshah. This edifice’s construction history can be dates back to ‘pre-Islamic era’; where it had been a ‘Zoroastrian fire temple’. Today, this building sits in yard of one of the elementary schools. Moreover, it goes on to function as school’s auditorium and library.

Jame’ Atiq Mosque of Qazvin

This is one of the most ancient mosques located in Iran. The age-old portion of Jame’ Atiq Mosque of Qazvin is believed to have been constructed by orders of ‘Harun al-rashid’ in around 807. Many additions were made later; the latest being at the time of late Safavid Era. Double-layered main dome pertaining to mosque can be traced back to Selijuk era. Moreover, it’s not open to public. Numerous sections of mosque are being renovated right now. Mongol invasion did not let the mosque lose its glory. It still stands erect.
