Persepolis is an interesting archaeological site and one of the most famous attractions in the city. It is a complex of ancient palaces with beautiful architecture. These ruins are a fine example of this region’s glory during the Achaemenid Empire.
The centrally-located Vakil Bazaar is the main market place of Shiraz. The market consists of elegant courts and shops which sell the best rugs, spices, antiques, copper and much more.
Baag-e-Eram is a popular Persian garden frequented by the tourists. Magnificent trees, blooming flowers and tall monuments are some of the features of this garden. It is a perfect place for family picnics and leisurely strolls.
Also of interest is the Pasargadae, a royal ensemble of palaces, gardens and mausoleums. The constructions are outstanding examples of the ancient architecture. This multicultural place includes buildings like the Mausoleum of Cyrus II and the Tal-e-Takht.
