Tourist Guide Tabriz
The fourth largest city in Iran is Tabriz. It is located on the confluence of the Aji River and Komur (Mehran) River and is the capital of East Azerbaijan Province.
As per the 2006 census, the population of this place was 1.6 million.
A dry continental weather can be experienced here with clear, dry and hot summers and snowfall during winter.
The prevalent languages in this city are Azerbaijani and Persian. The folksongs and music are very famous amongst the people.
Tabriz is the leading producer of the popular Iranian rugs. Tabrizian rugs and carpets are in high demand in western nations ranging from Europe to the United States. These have balanced and symmetrical designs and ivory backgrounds with indigo, rose and blue themes.
In Azerbaijan, the classical music is called as mugam.
