The Red Canyon gets its name from the red stained sandstone which makes most of the landscape and offers visitors with a real treat. These wind and water etched canyon are full of variety of shades of red and intermixed with other colors from minerals which have stained the walls. Red Canyon is also fun place for sliding down the slopes formed by the slow erosion of water and wind, combined with sand on the soft rock. This geographical formation is center of attraction whilst in Eilat.
