East Jerusalem is some of the parts of Jerusalem captured by Jordan in 1948 Arab-Israeli War. It was captured later by Israel in 1967 Six Day War. It includes Old City of Jerusalem and some of the holiest sites of Islam, Christianity and Judaism. One can get to see here, the Temple Mount, Al-Aqsa Mosque, Western Wall and the Church of Holy Sepulchre. East Jerusalem has main Arab neighborhoods like Beit Hanina, Shuafat, Jabal Mukaber and such neighborhoods. After the 1948 Arab-Israeli war, Jerusalem got divided into two parts and the east portion, that had Arabs, came under the Jordanian rule.
