The Jerusalem Beach was named after Tel Aviv’ s legendary mayor Sholmo Lahat. He presented this beach as a gift for Teddy Koleck, another mayor on a popular television show. Since then, it is known as Jerusalem beach. People come to bath and enjoy a number of water sports here. It’s wide and spacious too. This stretch of beach is situated at the bottom of Allenby Street and is overlooked by the Opera Tower. With wide expanse of sand, the beach is great place for summer sun bathing and winter kite flying activities. There is provision of lifeguards on duty and even eateries with shaded seating arrangements on the sand.
