The Israeli Opera aimed to develop its identity as an Israeli Opera since its conception. It nurtures Israeli artists and soloists and also commissions and performs original operas by Israeli composers. It has workshops like the Young Artists Program and promotion of young Israeli singers, who have launched their career here and also performed worldwide. There are many Israeli directors, singers and conductors who have worked in regular basis with this opera. This way, the Israeli Opera have been blessed with highly talented artists. The Opera is quite popular amongst the locals and tourists too.
