The Sea of Galilee, or the Kinneret, is a famous water body abundant in marine life like carp, mullet, catfish and comb fish. The water is pure and serene in nature, making it a popular spot for recreation.
The Yehudiya Nature Reserve is a nature lover’s delight with exotic pools and nature trails which follow the course of the River Zavitan. Visitors can undertake hiking through the lush greenery and see the Hexagon Pools, a group of pools which have a hexagonal shape.
Another popular recreation spot is the Jordan Park, or the Park Ha Yeden. It is located near the Sea of Galilee. The Tabgha is a traditional site which was considered to have magical properties. The place houses the Mount of Beatitudes as well as an Italian cathedral.
