A landscaped garden located in the centre of the city, Sorakuen is a place is of great historical importance because it is an ancient war site. The lush greenery and the crystal blue water in the ponds are inviting.

Meriken Park is a popular waterfront site with attractions such as the Kobe Port Tower, a symbolic structure, and the Kobe Maritime Museum. The park also houses a memorial section dedicated to the lives lost in the earthquake.

The Disaster Reduction and Human Renovation Institution is a museum dedicated to the Great Hanshin Earthquake. With various restaurants, shopping malls and play areas, the Kobe Harbour Land is also worth a visit.
