Narita, the site of the famous Tokyo International Airport, also known as the Narita Airport, is a great destination for travellers interested in a glimpse of traditional Japan.
The Naritasan Shinshoji Temple, also known as ‘Ofudo-sama of Narita’, is one of the major worship places of Japan. Also, the head temple of the Shingon sect of Buddhism, the temple has a thousand-year-old history. The Naritasan Park and Narita Kankokan are also popular tourist locations. Sohgo Reido, built to worship Sohgo Sakura, is another must-see. Hana-Ueki Centre, a flower and tree garden, and the Aviations Science Museum are other top tourist locations.
Narita Taiko Festival, the most popular festival, is celebrated throughout the city with dance, music and drum performances. Narita’s summer festival, the Gion Festival, is also widely celebrated. Narita offers tourists several restaurants serving authentic Japanese and international cuisines.
