Saitama Prefecture can be referred to as one of the prefectures located in Japan on island of Honshu. The above-mentioned prefecture is a portion of ‘Greater Tokyo Area’. Furthermore, majority of cities of Saitama can get described as Tokyo’s suburbs. These are the places where loads of residents flock every day.
Saitama Prefecture has been bordered by Chiba, Tokyo, Gunma, Tochigi, Ibaraki, Yamanashi, and Nagano. It’s situated on central-western region of Kanto region; which goes on to measure 103 kilometers between east and west and around 52 kilometers between north and south. Edo river defines its eastern border which is with respect to Chiba Prefecture. Following Second World War, Tokyo went on to expand at the fast pace and contemporary transportation permitted longer commutes. Scarcity of land in Japanese capital led to Saitama’s rapid development.
As such, population almost tripled since the year 1960.
