Narita International Airport, is also known as New Tokyo International Airport, and is situated in Narita city which is about 60km from downtown Tokyo.

It handles most of the international traffic of Japan and serves as a primary connection point between Asia and America.

It is the 5th-busiest air- freight hub in the world.

The airport has two terminals each serving a major airline. They have separate underground train stations and a shuttle bus connecting these two. There is no direct pedestrian connection.

Terminal 1 is further divided into the North wing and South Wing. Major Airlines serviced within these terminals include Alitalia, Northwest Airlines, All Nippon Airways, Singapore Airlines, United Airlines, Japan Airlines, Air China, American Airlines and Qantas.

Several cargo airlines are also serviced.

The airport provides many personal services for passengers like clinics, post office, meeting points, an Oxygen Bar and Internet Facilities. Both the terminals contain several restaurants and shops.
