The Meiji Shrine is located in Shibuya in Tokyo and is the Shinto shrine which is dedicated to the souls of Emperor Meiji and his wife, Empress Shoken who died in 1912 and 1914 respectively. This place was constructed after the First World War and the spirits of this couple were enshrined in 1920. This precise place is one of the most significant and historic shrines in Japan.
