The Tokyo Tower is a popular Japanese and Tokyo symbol and landmark which became popular through many Japanese films and cartoons. This tower is 13 meters taller than its model, the Eiffel Tower of Paris. The Tokyo Tower is also the tallest self supporting steel tower in the world standing 333 meters high. This historic building was constructed in 1958 by the Takenaka Corporation at a total cost of 2.8 billion yen. This tower is also a major tourist destination attracting all to see the aquarium, wax museum and an art gallery.
