Tokyo has no dearth of parks and gardens. Japan has two types of gardens popularly known as Tsukiyama and Karesansui. While Tsukiyama features tiny hills and stones on the other hand white sands in Karesansui represents the sea, and the stones stand for hills. Tokyo Parks and Gardens have been one of the premiere attractions for the tourist and visitors of the city. For those who are looking out for the greenery, river side and cliff edge, Nogawa Park, one of the oldest parks in Japan would be the perfect place to visit. Tokyo parks are perfect places to spend time with family and friends. There are many parks and gardens in Tokyo including Shinjuku Gyoen, probably the largest park of Tokyo next to Shinjuku Station. Then there are Yoyogi Koen and Meiji Jingu gardens in between Shibuya, Yoyogi and Harajuku where one can revitalize himself for the rest of the day. Rikugien and Hama-Rikyu too are amazingly well maintained gardens in Tokyo.
