Shinjuku is a central ward of Tokyo, known as metropolis’ second center. It is a popular attraction for tourists. The surrounding area of Shinjuku Station is a huge business, entertainment and commercial centre located atop the world’s busiest railway station complex. The ward is accessible both by train, bus and by air. There are many places worth visiting including Tokyo Metropolitan Government Centre, situated with a height of 202 meters and 45 floors offering some of the best views of Tokyo. Then, there is the NTT DoCoMo Building/Tower, situated as Japan’s largest cell-phone carrier, Shinjuku Gyoen, a large public garden as well as one of the most famous places to watch cherry blossoms in spring. It also has a botanical conservatory, Hanazono Shrine, a nice place to take a breather, Southern Terrace, offering the best views for watching the trains enter and exit and Tokyo-Opera City which is a skyscraper with a shopping center and art museum offering interesting multimedia exhibits.
