Amman, built on seven hills, is one of the most ancient cities in the world,
though modern, whose significant archaeological remains of Roman, Byzantine
and Umayyed civilisations attest its own ancient importance and splendour with
an undeniable antique past.
Taxis are not expensive and always at a hand, so though the hills make difficult
to stroll around, it is is nearly impossibile to get lost!
In the heart of the city is a beautiful Roman theatre, a nice park, some Internet
cafes, shops a Mac Donalds.
Amman has the best archeological museum throughout Jordan, which is really something
to be proud of!
Generous and charming, Amman mirrors both the kindness and the hospitality of
the Jordanians.
I had been in Jordan for almost 4 years. I found it the safest, peaceful, zero crime rate, beautiful country. The people of Jordan are strong, polite, good looking faced, intelligent and honest. I wish once again to be there. What I experienced there, I found the people honest, devoted to their country and more containants. They live happily whatever with them. No bother to others for nothing. They also have a rich Islamic history and loving people to human as well as Islam. I wish them more prosperous in their lives.
Amman needs a comprehensive solution for traffic and public transportation. I suggest to make a big company for admisnitrating public transportation in Amman, and do not allow for private owned buses, to run buses inside amman.
Cleaning services must spread to more areas (like Tabarbour, and Swaileh), not just focusing on some known luxurious areas. In general cleaning services is effective.
I love Jordan. Easy access to historical sites, Amman is not too far from the Dead Sea. Museums give you a view how people survived in an era that most people in America seem to know nothing about. Jordan renews a person's interest in history and causes one to rethink one's views about the world in general. The weather is great.
Great place to live with kids!!! Some private schools are good but expensive. I like living here. That's all I have to say about Amman, Jordan. There are places to visit you just need to find them. My favorite is the Children's Museum
and many fast food places located in the center of Amman.
Jordan is a great place and it has a lot of places we can go to have some activity so i wish that people whould visit us and have a look at our tradition and our factorys and streets and they could see Petra and Dead sea and Red sea and a lot of places.
Plan before arrival, ask during staying. People are friendly, English is frequently spoken in Amman and most other areas. Have Petra on your list. Visit Dead sea but not on Fridays. Careful when crossing (even on zebra line)
Excellent city - a little pricey. But the value that u get makes up for it. One of the best places to visit. The people are generous and kind and very helpful. The food is great too.
I love this wonderful city and the great king abeddala, God save him and protect Jordan and i hope to see my friend there and soon I will do it. I am from Libanon.
Jerash lies in northern Jordan and is the fourteenth largest municipality of Jordan with a population of 31,650.
It is situated at about 48 km north of Amman.
Jerash, which...
