Jordan is a history lover’s dream come true, with a number of ancient sites open to the public. The towns of Petra, Umm, Ajlun, Jerash, Amman, Al Azrak, Qusayr Amra, Al Karak, Madaba and Mahis are full of history. Jordan is also home to the Biblical River Jordan and Mount Nebo.
Also enjoy some desert adventure at Wadi Rum. Desert scenery, desert sports, the locals and the connection to Lawrence of Arabia, make this a must-do trip. Similarly, a trip to the Dead Sea cannot be missed.
Ensure that you visit the Amman Gold Souk, a fascinating place to buy gold and gold jewellery. Also, visit the Folklore and Popular Tradition Museums in the city.
