In Jordan, the tallest peak is close to the Saudi border and towards the south of Wadi Rum. It is 1840 meters in height and is referred to as “Jebel um Adaami.” This peak is a famous trek from the Wadi Rum village. From the top of the peak, if the weather is clear, it is possible to view the Saudi border and the Red Sea. A Zalabia Bedouin from Wadi Rum named Defallah Atieq discovered this peak. The tallest peak in central Rum and also the second highest peak in Jordan, the Jabal Rum is 1754 meters high. This is located opposite to Jebel um Ishrin and directly rises above the Rum Valley.
