Astana is quite a modern city, however things to do and to visit don’t lack.
Here is a short list of the main sights: the Kazakhstan History Museum, the Islamic centre, the Roman Catholic cathedral, the "Oceanarium", the modern governmental quarter, the market hall, the Ishim banks and the Pedestrian bridge near the city beaches (the ideal place where to have a relaxing walk).
