Today, the city that went through a rapid modernization has many restaurants and cafés and in the streets you can see plenty of European and Japanese second hand cars.
The architecture is strongly influenced by the Soviet Style and the town is
very green with its numerous trees providing for shade in the hot summer.
The two official languages in Bishkek are Kyrgyz and Russian, the latter is
still spoken by almost everybody.
There is a continental climate in Bishkek which is very hot and dry in the
summer with temperature reaching 30°C and 40°C.
