Pak Ou Caves
Pak Ou Caves can be reached by ‘ferry’ from ‘Luang Prabang’. As an alternative, visitors can go by soonthaew as well. However, in that case, they would reach the river’s opposite bank, where boats would be waiting for taking them to another site. Climbing is divided in to two levels. The first level can be clearly seen from river. To reach the higher level, some stairs need to be climbed. It’s advisable to carry a flashlight along with. Both of these caves have loads of bigger and smaller images of Buddha that have mostly been donated by localites.
Kuang Si Falls
The gorgeous multi-layered ‘Kuang Si Falls’ should not be missed out. They are known for their serenity and beauty. Turquoise-green water goes on to tumble over a chain consisting of steps of limestone and gets collected in gorgeous pools which have been surrounded by posh greenery. Walkways would take one to base as well as summit, around 200 feet upwards. Visitors need to go southwards for getting a glimpse of these falls.
