Smaller City not to many places to go and see No reliable mass transit, buses. It is not to safe if you are walk on the side walk and cross street. Most drivers seem to think that their life are more valueable than people that walk on the side walk, they are not respect to signs, cross walks and traffic lights. If you walk on side walk you might get hit by: Signs (they are too low), cars and moto bikes they are parking on the sidewalks

Vientiane capital is a very peaceful, smiling and friendly city. People are friendly, smiling and kind. People not only in Vientiane capital, but whole are warmly welcome. The situation in Vientiane is rather safe comparing to other foreign large cities. as for economic development, Vientiane is now grown gradually with culturally great respect to their own traditional way of living. Trust me and try it yourself.
