The Al-Omari Mosque is a very famous attraction of the city and gets many visitors from across the globe. This is a must visit place as it is the most ancient buildings of the city. Beautifully preserved, this is one of the two mosques made on the remains of a Byzantine church. This historic building suffered many damages during the Civil War. The St John church was built by the Crusaders.
