The Prince Monzer Mosque, known more properly as the Emir Monzer Mosque or the Nawfara mosque is a grand and beautiful mosque in Beirut, Lebanon. It is one of the major tourist attractions in the city although in actual fact there is little unusual about it save its size. It is though surprisingly beautiful and as it still is an operational mosque and the religious focal point of the surrounding area and the communities that live there it maintains the air of reality that so many old religious sites unfortunately loose when they begin to be oriented primarily towards tourists.
The mosque is located on the Riad El Solh Str, Najmeh, in Beirut city, and it is easily reached by taxi or the nascent public transport system, just ask the driver and they will help you find your way. Remember as ever that if you want to visit then come dressed modestly and prepared to cover your head and remove your shoes.
