Beirut is famous for its nightlife. It is said that anything goes as long as there are people and there is the will. One of the highlights is of course the beach party scene, could it be anything but great in a city fringed with fantastic coastline. Of these renowned parties many are impromptu small gatherings that grow and some are well organised, publicised, ticketed and controlled.
One such takes place on a great beach called Oceana where more than 5,000 people have shown up in the past. These parties have been broadcast live on the radio which gives some idea of their stature. The venue at Oceana has a strict capacity though so it is worth turning up in good time (before 1pm) if you want to be sure of getting in.
