Mazraa is the southern area of Beirut city and it is home to the whole spectrum of modern Lebanese city life. This is the place to come if you’re in the mood to shop, with many outlets offering a range of styles and price options. For eating there is also a plethora of choice with the major chain pizzerias well represented alongside many and various local and international cuisines. For instance on Corniche El Mazraa Street you can get hold of French food, Lebanese street and restaurant food, pizza and bagels.
The highlight for me has to be Truly patisserie which sells a wide range of Lebanese dishes along with good quality icecream and a great range of pastries. It can be found on Mazraa Main Street, Corniche El Mazraa and the chairs outside are a fantastic vantage point from which to view life going on in this still vibrant and very much alive area of the city.
