The economy of Malaysia is dependent mainly on information technology, exports of oil and natural resources and the tourism sector. However, its industries are also flourishing, and it is now tagged as a ‘newly industrialised country’.
The average daily cost of living in Malaysia is around MYR70 to MYR1200; hotels may charge around MYR40 and eating from hawkers and at coffee shops is inexpensive. One can take a bus or hire a car.
