Dharmikarama Burmese Temple is a famous Buddhist Temple in George Town, Penang. The temple lies opposite another Buddhist Temple of Wat Chayamangkalaram.
However, Dharmikarama Burmese Temple was built much earlier than the Wat Chayamangkalaram temple. Dharmikarama Burmese Temple was built 200 years ago. Visitors can see the enchanting standing statue of the Buddha.
The golden colored robe and finely carved background enhance the calm and serene face of the Buddha. This gigantic statue of Buddha is made up of glossy marble stone. This statue lies in the Sime Hall of the temple.
Other sections of the temple include Shrine Hall, pagoda and a well.
