Penang Hill is the most loved tourist destination in George Town in the Penang State of Malaysia. Penang hill is set amidst lush green surroundings. This spectacular hill is also called as Bukit Bendera.
Located at a height of 830 meters from the sea level, this hill is home to more than 1000 people. Visitors will see a large number of restaurants, small tea stalls and a souvenir shop.
The Penang Hill is dotted with a couple of religious sites. These include a Hindu temple and a mosque. Local residents come here to pay homage to their respective deities.
During the rainy season, the hill looks gorgeous as several waterfalls emerge from the top of the hill. Visitors can view the lush green crop fields from top of the hill.
The forest on the Penang Hill is home to numerous wild animals like bats, flying civets, flying lemurs, tree shrews, monkeys, squirrels and wild boars. Visitors can spend a splendid time on the hill.
