Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport or simply Subang Airport is one of the major airports in Malaysia.
This airport mainly serves turbo-propeller domestic flights and also general aviation. It is not as crowded as Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
Subang Airport was the main airport before the construction of KL International Airport. The major airlines connected with the airport include, Firefly, a low cost airline and Berjaya Air, a domestic airline.
This airport first opened in August 1965. This airport has a 3.7 km long runway, which is the longest in Southeast Asia.
The airport had two terminals, one of which was demolished some time back. Plans for another terminal have been opened. The destinations covered by Berjaya Air are Redang Island, Pangkor and Tioman.
This airport is the home base for the Eurocopter Malaysia. The airport is used for landing private and military jets as well.
