KL Lake Garden

The Lake Garden is a huge green sanctuary in the middle of the city. It has the bird park (largest in asia?), butterfly farm, hibiscus farm, deer park. Some activities that can be done there: jogging around the lake, water rides, picnic. Not many people goes there during weekdays so it will be a good idea to enjoy it during this time. Weekend can get a little bit crowded.

Another lake garden - Titiwangsa - also have similar facilities but with more activities to be done. But I would recommend KL Lake Garden (Taman Tasik Perdana) to tourist.

Lake Gardens Park

Perdana Lake Gardens or simply Lake Gardens are beautifully landscaped gardens in the city of Kuala Lumpur.

The park is the "green lung" of the city. The park covers a huge area of 92 hectares. The attractive feature of the garden is the neatly cut, manicured plants. During 1880s, this park served as the British State Treasurer Park.

It comprises of several specialty parks like Kuala Lumpur Bird Park, Butterfly Park, Orchid Garden, Deer Park and Hibiscus Garden. Nature lovers will find this place to be a paradise.

The bird park in Lake Gardens Park is the largest park in Asia. Visitors can see hundreds of varieties of attractive bird species. Similarly, Butterfly Park houses more than 6000 species of butterflies.

Seeing thousands of butterflies flying around is a heavenly experience. The adjoining Orchid Garden consists of numerous varieties of Orchids. This is an ideal venue to relax in the midst of lush green surroundings.
