Designed by Alfred Venning who was a British State Treasurer in 1880, Taman Tasik Perdana (the Lake Gardens in English) is a botanical garden located amid lakes at the center of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The garden spreads across a huge area of 104 hectares featuring undulating hills, close-cropped lawns and skillfully cultivated gardens. Lake Gardens provide the visitors and locals with a range of facilities including playgrounds, exercise stations, jogging tracks, and rowing boats.
Some other attractions located within the park include a butterfly park, a bird park, a deer park as well as the flower gardens.
