If you arrive in Malaysia late at night make sure that you carry local currencies as the ATMs do not operate late at night even at the airports. Carrying drugs is a crime punishable with a penalty of death by hanging, so beware of trafficking or possessing even a small amount of drug.

Malaysia is a place where people generally end up eating more and gaining weight, as the food temptations are high, so be careful especially if you have cholesterol or heart problems.

If you visit the KL tower and walk back through Bukit Nanas, make sure that you carry an insect repellent as one can end up with dozens of mosquito bites.

The Malay name for police is Polis and they do not understand fluent English, but are ever helpful to help lost travelers.

If you visit the KLCC be prepared to spend a large amount as the designer shops charge heavily on any item sold. Besides the parking has three levels which can confuse people who park their cars here as one can get lost searching for them.
