The Temple of Cheng Hoon Teng is located in Chinatown in Melaka city. This is the oldest temple in the city, which dates back to 300 years.

The word, Cheng Hoon Teng means the "temple of Evergreen Clouds" in Chinese.

If tourists want to visit a calm and peaceful place, then they must visit this temple. The temple exhibits a typical Chinese culture. The interior of the temple is serene and peaceful.

There is a statue of a lion and dragon, which stands guard at the doorway of the temple. After entering the doorway, the visitors come to an open courtyard. The walls of the temple are decorated with dragon figures made up of clay.

Visitors can also see the tortoise figures together with lions, elephants and snakes. The local residents are enthusiastic to explain the tradition and religion to the tourists. They keenly show the important architectures in the temple to the visitors.
