St. Paul's Hill is locally called as Bukit St. Paul. It is the site of the historical St. Paul Church and A' Famosa Fortress. The medieval fortress was built by the Portuguese in 1571.

St. Francis Xavier, who was from China, often visited this fort. Tourists can see his statue in front of the ruins of the fortress. However, the most important monument on this hill is the St. Paul Church.

Portuguese Catholics used this church as their prayer house. Soon, the surrounding area turned into the burial of the noble Dutch people. Visitors can see the Portuguese and Latin inscriptions on the tombs here. In 1553, St. Xavier's grave was in the premises of the church. Later on, it was moved to the Indian State, Goa.

One can see only the ruins of this simple, yet enchanting chapel. There are several sections in the church which can be explored. Several other tourists' attractions lie in close proximity from the St. Paul's Hill.
