Penang Bazaar is the place for shopping freaks. There is a famous flea market located at the Penang Road in Pulau Penang. Penang Bazaar is edged with another market in the city, which is Chowrasta market.
Both the market areas remain crowded with local residents and tourists for most of the times. The shops vary from fabric retailers, food stalls, accessories shops, shoes and leather items shops to many more. Visitors can get excellent deals on fabrics and cloths in these street markets.
The market gets flooded with visitors in the evenings. Hence, tourists can try shopping in the afternoon. Some of the shops remain closed until mid- day.
Shoppers can get a variety of local handmade jewelry, handicraft and other stuff in this market. The only thing needed over here is patience and stamina to walk. Vehicles cannot be taken on these narrow streets. Hence, shopping has to be done on foot.
