Take a round the island trip starting from Georgetown to Tg. Bungah, Batu Ferringhi, Teluk Bahang, Balik Pulau (along which stretch one can see many durian farms and greenery), Bayan Lepas (going along the coastal route) and finally back to Georgetown.
Never forget to drop by the new market (next to the bus station) in Balik Pulau where one can buy the local produce as well as enjoy a few good bowls of laksa, pasembor and other delights offered by the many hawker stalls. If one do not have own transport, no problem at all. Take a bus from Georgetown and it goes all the way to Balik Pulau. In fact it is more fun that way where one gets to enjoy the scenery without having to be bothered with the traffic.
