Pokhara, located west of Kathmandu, is the capital of the Western Development Region in Nepal. With a population of about 190,000 inhabitants, it is the third largest city in the country. It is a well-known excursion destination with its relaxed nature and lush beauty.
Pokhara has a subtropical climate with moderate temperatures. December to January is the coolest period with snowfall being a regular event. February to April is a warm period. The months of October and November are the best time to visit for the pleasant weather and lush green surroundings.
Historically, Pokhara was a mystical place which was partly inaccessible. After the construction of roads in the sixties, the city developed rapidly; today, it is a peaceful, yet active, resort town.
Undoubtedly, Pokhara is one of the most beautiful cities in Nepal, perhaps in the world featuring balanced and exotic combination of spectacular Himalayan ranges, dense forests, swift flowing rivers and gorges, peaceful lakes, magnificent hilltops, and exotic underground caves offering days of adventure and sightseeing opportunities and a gateway to a lot of trekking options around Annapurna range. Beautiful city with a great view of Annapurna range. It's a wonderful city of seven lakes, Fewa lake, Begnas lake and Rupa lake is the most famous lake. Pokhara is the Asia's best paragliding area. Bhairab dance is the most old cultural dance which is performed only in Pokhara. Besides this Tayanacha nach, Lakhe nach is the famous cultural dance of Pokhara. In Pokhara, longest stresst festival is organised from christmas to new year. Fewa lake, the best boating spot of Pokhara. Sarangkot is famous fof paragliding and sunrise, beside this, all Pokhara valley view can be seen, Pokhara, the starting point of Annapurna Base Camp trek.

Pokhara offers magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Fishtail, Manaslu, five peaks of Annapurna and others. This is one of the few places in the world to provide such a dramatic view in a sub-tropical setting.
Pokhara's numerous lakes offer fishing, boating and swimming. Pokhara valley is one of the most natural as well beautiful place in the world. It is a place of remarkable natural beauty.
The beauty, they say, lies in the eyes of a beholder. If there is something that challenges the Biblical Garden of Eden in its splendor and magnificence.

It's a paradise... those who hasnt been here u need to visit this place once.. night life is as europe coz many europeans visit this place every seconds... people are friendly and has got good transportation from any place and any corner of the city.. I request u guys to visit during Christmas leave to new year.. coz this city celebrates street festival during this tenure..

Pokhara is a most beautiful city in Nepal. We can view Annapurna mountain range, Phewa Lake. It numerous lakes offer fishing, boating and swimming and it is also tourist attraction. Sarangkot is famous for paragliding and sunrise, beside this, all Pokhara Valley view can be seen, Pokhara the starting point of Annapurna base came trek so,not to be missed this place.

Pokhara is a most beautiful City of Nepal. There we can view ever green scenes of Annapurna Himalyan (Mountain) Range, Phewa Lake. Sarangkot, situated near Pokhara, is a most interesting place for Entertainment (Paragliding, Flier zip etc) and for viewing the scenes of Phewa lake and Annapurna Himalayan Range.

Pokhara is a one of the most beautiful vally of Nepal and most of the tourist's place of choice. It has unique natural lakes, religious sites and trekking point to high Himalayan range. there are so many interesting places to visit with ranges of facilities. This is the place one should visit once in a life.

Pokhara is not only a tourist attraction place but we can make it a place for opportunity for nepalese International airport will totally helps us in toursism maintenance. So pokhara is really very beautiful place and we should focus more on the development of our city. I love my city. It's a pride of Nepal.

Pokhara is the best tourism city in Nepal. That is why we have still a lot of problem to develop to be recognized in the world as the best tourism place in the world so we people should first march the path for its development along with the financial support as well as technical from government.
