Dibba is a coastal region situated at the north east tip of the Oman Peninsula on the Gulf of Oman. Dibba is divided into 3 parts namely the Dibba Al-Baya, Dibba Al-Hisn and the Dibba Al-Fujairah. The region has been an important site or maritime trade since the pre-Islamic era. Many people visiting Dubai take a short trip to Dibba which lies to the east coast of the Indian Ocean. There are numerous pretty beaches, areas of sandy deserts, rocky headlands and more. The stunning bay flanked with tiny fishing villages is a site to see. The Le Meridian Al-Aquah Beach Resort in Al-Aqqa is a place worth staying in. The Snoopy Island nearby is known for its snorkeling and scuba diving facilities. The Bidiya Mosque which lies a little further to the south is one of the oldest mosques in the entire region of the United Arab Emirates. The climate is hot and humid most of the year.
