Tourist Guide Khasab
Khasab is a town situated in close proximity from the Strait of Hormuz and sixty kilometers from the Ras Al Khaimah in U.A.E. The town is recently developing as a tourist destination with its diving and fishing spots. Dhow cruises in Fjord and mountain safaris are also popular activities among tourists. Scrap metal and cigarettes are exported from this region to other parts of the world. Khasab is the capital of Musandam peninsula and lies 500 kilometers from Muscat. The town is nicknamed as the ‘Norway of Arabia’. It has a rich and colorful underwater with a varied marine life which provides wonderful opportunities for fishing, snorkeling and scuba diving. One can view sea birds on the cliffs of Khawr Ghubb Ali and dolphins near Jebel Harim.
