Day 1: Meet your driver upon arrival at the Muscat International airport and transfer to the Al Nahda Resort & Spa.
Day 2: Breakfast at the Al Nahda Resort & Spa. Late morning, depart by 4X4 on your two day private desert safari with an english speaking driver/guide. This 4x4 adventure trip starts with an approximate two hour drive through many villages driving to the desert with its endless sand dunes of red and white sand. The Wahiba Sands are almost 200 kilometres long and are about 100 kilometres wide running south from the mountains to the Arabian Sea. Drive up and down the dunes for an exhilarating natural rollercoaster type experience.
Upon arrival at the campsite you have many optional activity opportunities such as sand-boarding, quad-biking, camel rides or simply explore some of the most amazing sand dunes. Optional activities are extra and payable locally.
Sunset in the desert is a "picture postcard" experience, Captivating as the sun goes down, the serenity of the dunes and the sun changing colours. Dine under a million stars and spend the night in a comfortable traditional 'barasti' hut . Desert camping in Oman is truly a memorable experience.
Day 3: Watching the sun rise spectacularly over the dunes is yet another memorable experience. After breakfast visit the picturesque Wadi Bani Khalid, probably one of the largest and a lush green oasis. Drive through the coastal fishing town of Sur and onwards to Tiwi, where the mountains meet the sea at this small picturesque fishing village that offers sheer delight in off-road driving.
Onwards to Wadi Shab or as translated, 'gorge between the cliffs'. Green oases, aquamarine pools, terraced plantations and unlimited opportunities for walking and exploring puts this 4WD trip on every Oman traveller's 'must explore list'. Return back to the capital travelling through some of the most scenic settings with the mountains on one side and the shimmering blue sea on the other.

Day 4: Breakfast at the Resort.

Day 5: Breakfast at the Resort.
Set out on a date to explore the capital city Muscat with its mountain backdrop, seafacing forts, the architecture, the culture, the museums, and the colourful souks. Experience Muscat. This trip commences with a visit to the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, with its beautifully landscaped gardens in traditional Islamic style. The towering minarets, white marble coutyard, the 4,200 square metre prayer mat and stunning chandeliers makes this a 'must see' for travellers on an Oman trip.
Drive through the seaside residential area of Muscat to the National museum, which gives you an insight into the 5,000 year old history of Oman. Visit the old town of Muscat with its bustling fish market, the beautiful corniche, the ancient streets, catch a glimpse of the majestic Royal Al Alam Palace flanked by the 16th century forts of Jalali and Mirani. Time permitting visit the old Muttrah souq (marketplace).
The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is open to non-Muslims from 8am until 11am, excluding fridays. Modest dress code is imperative. Men and women should ensure their arms and legs are covered, the woman must also cover their heads. Shoes must be removed before entering the prayer hall.
Day 6: Breakfast at the Resort. Day at leisure to explore more of the Resort & Spa or take an optional trip to discover more of Oman.
