I was there working in the Muscat Palace in the Project & Maintenance Department.
I used to live in the Tuian complex, which was meant for the palace working staff. This complex was surrounded by the local inhabitant and by the relatives of Khimji Ramdas,who were living there generation wise. There was a Shiva Temple nearby.
This was the only temple in total Gulf region. Muscat Palace is a very nice arcitechtural creation. It blossoms its beauty at night, specially with its lighting. Muttrah and Ruwi are the two busiest shopping center.
Two hospitals of Al-Nadaha and Al-Khaburah are well equipped with good doctors and high grade treatment facilities.
There is a par at Muttrah where the Royal band is to play music in the evening. Two forts i.e. Fort Mirani and Fort Jallai are on the sea shore, on the both sides of the palace.
