Tourist Guide Sur
Sur is a small fisherman town situated in the eastern coast of Oman. This town lies 350 kilometers from Muscat and the local language spoken here is Arabic. Most of the people living here are Muslims. Sur is an ideal starting point from where one can explore the region of Oman. Tourism is developing rapidly in the region for its beaches, camping, wadi trips and boating. The climate is mostly hot especially in the summer when temperatures reach as high as 55 degrees and in winter is around 22 degrees. Rainfall is high in January and is 100m on an average. November to March is pleasant with warm days but cool mornings and evenings. Sur has been a port on the Omani coast for at least two thousand years and has also been a center of boat building. The region is still popular for its traditional ship building process.
