Museum of Three Cultures
This is a recently opened museum in ‘Capitol University’, Cagayan de Oro. It goes on to house a gallery regarding what is possibly the vastest collection of ‘Maranao’ antiquities from Lanao del Sur (Tugaya). One can call this gallery as ‘gallery of ethnohistory’ in the years to come as it would be displaying history of Cagayan de Oro, archaeological artiacts relating to Butuan, lumard crafts and arts from Manobo and Higaunon cultures, and treasure of Northern Mindanao’s Christian lowland artifacts. There also would be an ‘art gallery’ accompanied with coffee shop which shall aid in promotion of visual arts of local level with respect to Mindanao. Research archives housing documents of Spanish era, memorabilia and photographs of eminent personalities within Mindanao are also on the agenda.
