Mount Apo
Mount Apo is considered as the highest mountain in the Philippines at 2954 meters. This majestic peak is also one of the most famous climbing destinations in the country and is located to the south of Davao. This dormant volcano has a broad verdant cap which extends at 2,909 meters covering 76,000 hectares of land. In 1936, it was declared as a national park by President Manuel L. Quezon. The best time to visit this peak is from April to early May.
